Senior Mechanical Engineer – Components and Products

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Components and Products (Level 3) for an exciting consultancy assignment in the energy sector. In this role, you will independently plan, lead, and execute complex engineering tasks within mechanical design, while closely collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. The assignment is well-suited for someone with strong technical expertise, who thrives in an international environment and is eager to contribute to development, quality, and delivery in both projects and operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects and activities such as type testing and R&D support.

• Provide technical sales support for demanding applications.

• Collaborate with supply chain, production, marketing, and sales.

• Maintain close cooperation with external partners, customers, and suppliers.

• Support marketing and sales with customer training material.

• Ensure all work is carried out with a focus on safety, integrity, and accountability.

Qualifications

Must-have:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or similar.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience (or 15+ years with another technical degree).

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious:

• Background in the power industry, preferably with transformers or transformer components.

• Experience with tools/systems such as Creo, Windchill, SAP.

• Competence in supply chain management or transferable skills.

• Previous experience working in international and cross-functional teams.

• Swedish language skills are an advantage.

Assignment details

• Start: October 1, 2025

• Duration: 12 months, with possible extension

• Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week

• Location: Ludvika
